Price for the CEVNI Test is £50 per person.

The International Certificate of Competence, ICC, for European inland waterways comprises two elements. One is a practical test or practical training and the other is the CEVNI theory test which can either be done on paper at the training centre or on-line.

We don't carry out the assessment days as our experience says that very few pass the strict criteria of the ICC practical exam and the customer is disappointed. However, we can provide the two-day RYA Inland Waterways Helmsman Course which qualifies for the ICC. Customers often combine the CEVNI test with their course booking and and take the CEVNI theory test at the end of Day One or book through us for the Interactive test and do the test on-line before you come.

There is no need for training for the CEVNI. The "RYA European waterways regulations (the CEVNI rules explained)" publication G17 provides the information you need to learn the code in a clear and concise way - a sample paper can be found at the back of the book.

The simple route to gain your ICC: Book the RYA Inland Waterways Helmsman Course and your paper CEVNI test now but choose a date that allows time to study. Buy the RYA G17 book from the RYA then study away until you feel confident to pass.
